Custom Carpentry Sussex were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a bespoke reception desk for a care home in Seaford, creating a welcoming first impression for residents, visitors and staff alike. The aim was to combine warmth, practicality and durability with a contemporary design that complements the care home environment.
The finished reception area now offers both visual impact and everyday functionality, providing a calm and professional focal point at the entrance to the home.
A Warm and Welcoming First Impression
The bespoke curved reception desk immediately sets the tone on arrival. Crafted using natural timber finishes and vertical slatted detailing, the design introduces texture and warmth while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
Soft integrated LED lighting highlights the curved form of the desk and enhances the overall ambience, particularly during evening hours. The lighting also improves visibility for staff while contributing to a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for residents and visitors.
